Before following the directions below, first save this odd image to your Zip disk or FileShare folder (hold down the mouse button over the image, etc etc). Then open it in Photoshop on your workstation.
Hi, boys and girls--
Try your skills at using Photoshop's various selection tools. The goal here is to carefully select the above goofy object and isolate it from the purposely randomized noisy background. When you have selected the object (including spaces within the colored spokes, etc), copy and paste the object into a new file that has a white background. Check the accuracy of your selection by observing how cleanly you were able to separate the object from the noisy colored background and how well you were able to preserve the structural shapes and contours. This is probably not too easy and will require use of various selection techniques (hint: recall using the "QuickMask" mode for editing selections and also that you can save complex selections as they are being made and modified).
