The small thumbnail graphics below are links to 3 larger images that simulate image map graphics ("splashscreens") for two imaginary websites. The larger graphics are inactive (buttons are not "hot") at this time, but clickable image maps could be easily made. The idea is to show use of basic design elements (composition, color, line) in interface construction, especially regarding the relationship of form with function. The graphics were produced in different software apps (Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop), and were saved in different file formats (.jpg and .gif) and compression schemes to highlight different methods used to construct web graphics.
interface for an imaginary kids' website. Illustrator-produced.
interface for an imaginary designer-oriented website. PhotoShop-produced.

A not good design! Superficially stylish and ultimately flawed interface with quite a few identity problems and navigation issues. Constructed in Photoshop, ImageReady, and GoLive.
